The Finology Software public API will expose the same parity-verified federal student loan engine that powers the Finology Software planner: RAP, IDR, PSLF, and legacy repayment plans, with every dollar figure computed deterministically and provenance-stamped. No numbers are AI-generated.

Planned operations

The REST surface will mirror the Finology Software MCP tools described in the MCP server card: run_projection, compare_scenarios, get_eligible_plans, and get_plan_types.

Authentication

Access is gated. Keys are issued at registration (X-Api-Key header), with OAuth 2.0 client credentials available through our identity provider. See finology.tech/auth.md for registration instructions and protected-resource metadata for the machine-readable details.
